The Thames Canoes Experience

The river starts its journey as a trickle of water flowing through a field in the Cotswolds, 30 miles above Cricklade. Beyond the town it becomes a small wild stream and by the time it reaches the pretty town of Lechlade the river widens to accommodate small motor boats.
Oxford to Windsor by river is the perfect way to view grand old houses, churches, colleges and even a castle. Verdant banks overhanging in many places, sheltering some of the natural wildlife on the river and a fresh scene around each bend - from the formal to wild, there's something for everyone.
A series of locks helps manage the river as it flows onwards and the river tells its own story of the centuries of trade and leisure that's passed along it. By the time the Thames reaches Teddington it has a tidal strength where it finally meets the sea.
